This 20th of January, Friday, to celebrate the beginning of an exciting new year, we bring to you the Young@CERN NewYear-NewMe Party !

We look forward to welcoming you while you dance to the tunes of some of the best CERN DJs 

 Why ?

At CERN, serendipity forces you to run into some really inspiring and very interesting people - all the time ! Not just people you share an office or a zoom call with, but many many more you might never meet in context of your professional responsibilities at CERN.

The Young@CERN parties have traditionally been a great excuse to connect with many more people at CERN, where you get inspired by them, while inspiring them over a pint of chilled beer and some great music !

Regardless of if you have been in the area for years, or just arrived this fall, this is your opportunity to connect, reconnect and make some great memories with others in the area !

On Friday, 20th of January, we are organizing the Young@CERN NewYear-NewMe party.
The party will be hosted at our very own Mr. Pickwicks Pub.

Like in the past, Mr. Pickwicks has generously extended discounted prices for everyone with a CERN badge.
-  Wine : 5 CHF (instead of 6 CHF)
-  Beer : 6 CHF (instead of 9 CHF)
-  Long Drinks : 9 CHF

(The Young@CERN Party will be on the dance floor downstairs.)

 CERN Alumni ?

This iteration of the Young@CERN party is co-located with a CERN Alumni meetup happening at the same location from 18:00 - 20:00 (Friday, 20th January). If you are a CERN Alumni who wants to connect with other CERN Alumni in the area, or are currently at CERN and want to connect with the CERN Alumni community, you are very very welcome to join the CERN Alumni Meetup from 18:00-20:00. Of course, we expect a large chunk of the folks from the CERN Alumni meetup to also join the Young@CERN party to revisit some of them nostalgic memories, and also connect with the current CERN Community !

 Want to Help ?

Young@CERN events are completely volunteer based and not for profit events. So we are always looking for volunteers to help organize social events at CERN, including but not limited to Young@CERN parties. If you are interested in helping out organize Social Events on behalf of Young@CERN, please reach out. We need a lot more hands on the deck !
More particularly, if you wish to DJ at the event, please reach out.
