C’est en 1989 que l’idée de fonder CA VA CHIER germe dans l’esprit de certaines personnes et voit le jour.
A cette époque la, Zuzu, guitariste émérite officiant dans un groupe genevois relativement connu, suite à une vertigineuse descente de houblon fermenté, décide de s’essayer à un instrument plus adapté à son rythme d’agglutination avancé, la batterie. Rien de tel qu’un instrument où on se retrouve comme au bistrot, assis derrière des fûts.
Après avoir eu l’idée d’enregistrer 2 titres avec notre comparse de l’époque, Mernard Bonney, ils décident de monter un groupe.

The idea of Mode Machine was created on a hot day of 2018 by Salvatore Nigro (synth, sequencer), who using his experience as a musician decided to set up a new group, a Depeche Mode tribute band,formed by musicians with the common passion for the famous group from Basildon and for the world of electronic pop sounds.

C'est début 2019 que Benoit commence à envisager un projet covers Funk. Ex-Batteur d'AD LIB et de PLAYZ'COOL, ce complément musical orienté Funk le motive énormément.
Il en parle à Sandy qui est déjà son acolyte, guitariste dans BAZINGA. Les deux compères se connaissent bien et savent qu'ensemble, ils pourront mener ce projet à bien.
C'est assez naturellement qu'ils font appel à Laurent Delgado, connu pour son toucher très groovy à la basse. Ex-bassiste de ZAHM, il ne tarde pas à accepter cette proposition car lui aussi est fan de "Funky Music".
C'est grâce aux nombreuses relations musicales de Laurent que Franck, Ex-clavier du Tribute Dire Straits DST, est contacté.
Enfin le plus difficile commence, Wannafunk doit trouver sa voix. Et dans un groupe de covers Funk le chant est décisif. Nos quatre mousquetaires ont bien de la chance de croiser la route de Virginie Barone. Virginie est très largement reconnue dans la région pour sa superbe voix Funk et Soul. Dès la première répétition, l'alchimie fonctionne et Virginie adhère au projet. Ça y est : WANNAFUNK est au complet !
Les répétitions commencent en juin 2019 pour un premier concert en décembre 2019. Ce groupe dynamique va vous faire danser sur les principaux tubes Funk, Disco et Pop des années 80 jusqu'à nos jours. Si vous aimez la fête et la bonne musique, rejoignez-nous lors de nos prochains concerts.

KAYALI
Tribute to Bob Marley
Rafi, compositeur Martiniquais, a été guitariste et clavieriste dans divers projets musicaux pour labels. deux multinationales et groupes,aux Antilles, en France et aux Canada, tout en résident à Genève .
A 18 ans il gagne un concours en Martinique pour venir représenter les Antilles avec son groupe de l époque au Salon du Tourisme palais de Beaulieu. Sur un coup de tête,il décide de ne plus rentrer aux Caraibes et de reste en Suisse .
Trois ans plus tard, monte son premier groupe, Cold Sweat, il jouera au festival off de Montreux, le succès fut immense qu il se voit remplacer aux pieds le groupe reggae UB 40 qui était trop stone pour assumer leur concert .Alors Claude Nobs lui propose de jouer sur la grande Scene avant Toots and the Maytals ,devant un immense publique dans le Casino du Montreux jazz Festival.
Rafi dans les années 90 signe son premier contrat chez Sony Music et sort son premier single Manawa, et travaille comme programmeur arrangeur pour d autres artistes,dans divers labels ou maisons de disques jusqu à mtn.
De sa rencontre avec Vish Chanteur, Musicien et Dj Sri lankais, résident dans le canton de Vaud, dès 2016,un duo est né puis le band KAYALI .c est un groupe de Reggae multiculturel que vous aller découvrir en live avec des influences pop,rock,et roots.
