Fondé en 1977, le Beau Lac de Bâle se définit d’emblée comme la synthèse improbable mais réussie du rock carré et de l’Helvétisme le plus résolu. Comme si les Rolling Stones étaient tombés amoureux de C.F. Ramuz ! L’art musical du BLB est en effet basé sur le blues, le rock des pionniers et sur les textes carougeois et sarcastiques de John Cipolata. Actuellement la formule scénique peut se décrire ainsi: un chanteur, showman racé, quelques choristes rescapées de 25 années de concerts torrides, trois guitaristes élégants, un bassiste hurleur, un saxophoniste funky et un batteur musclé. Au répertoire, la crème des 7 albums enregistrés plus des extraits du nouveau à venir. Si le carton pâte des premières années a disparu, l’énergie brute et le feeling débordent toujours de la scène. À déguster sans retenue !

Avant tout les trois compères sont des amis de longue date, ils ont formé les Ribs & Bacon il y a plus de 8 ans.
Leur style unique en sont genre est aussi bien huilé qu’un bon V8 qui ronronne.

En 2001, son single "Can't Get You Out of My Head" fait un carton dans le monde entier, devenant son plus gros triomphe aux États-Unis depuis presque 15 ans. Il lui vaut une nomination aux Brit Awards comme Meilleure interprète féminine internationale, et Fever est nominé dans la catégorie Meilleur album international. Monique est une artiste et chanteuse/danseuse de grand talent, qui nous vient tout droit de l’Angleterre.
